From having never won a T20 series in New Zealand to routing the home side 5-0 in the bygone T20 series between the two sides. The Indian team not only achieved something they had previously failed to in the country but scripted the first ever 5-0 win of a T20 series by any side in the cricketing fraternity.
It was a laurel which them being serenaded with plaudits with the cricketing arena standing up to appreciate the genius of this Indian cricketing team. This is a ruthless contingent at the moment, one pummelling teams with consummate with the entire quad stepping upto the mantle when needed to showcase its mettle.
And while attention now shifts to the upcoming three match ODI series between India and New Zealand, the visitors will be looking to continue their stronghold over the hosts. For the Black Caps meanwhile, this series is a shot at redemption, one where they’ll be looking to make amends for their chastening displays in the T20 series, one which saw them lose three encounters in succession despite being in healthy positions.
Although New Zealand were cleaned out by India in the T20 series, they did manage to come close on multiple occasions. The side showed that they are more than capable of throwing a stern test infront of India’s face but given the comprehensive nature of this Indian unit at the moment, we envisioning them doing more than enough to pull off a 1-0 lead today.
Pitch Conditions And Toss
Although this is an ODI, the nature of the track won’t waver from what was doled out to us in the bygone T20 last week. We are going to be revelled in pristine batting conditions, one where the team winning the toss will be looking to come out and chase with a coherent idea of how to document themselves to a successful run chase.

NZ Vs IND Dream11 Wicket-Keeper
India’s KL Rahul was always going to be the first name to be inducted in our Dream 11 cauldron for this imminent encounter. The Indian wicket-keeper is in fine touch at the moment, one which saw him put on 45 runs in the opening slot in the culminating T20.
Tom Latham will be joining us from the home setup as well for this encounter. He’s thrived against India with the 534 runs in his kitty and with Williamson out for two ODIs, Banton will be spurred on by the captaincy duties he’s been cascaded with.
NZ Vs IND Dream11 Batsmen
With two 50s in the last two T20s against India and 1,191 runs in ODIs against the gargantuan Indian unit, Ross Taylor will be joining him up for the encounter. We are getting in opener Martin Guptill as well with the bat being a dependable name, someone who has persistently come up with crucial runs in the powerplay overs.
Elsewhere, we begin India’s picks with the selection of their captain Virat Kohli. With Rohit out for the series, the onus will grow on Kohli to lay down the foundation for his side ad with 1,300 runs against the hosts, the behemoth more than justifies his pick.
With 531 runs in 13 ODI encounters, Shreyas Iyer comes in as well to wrap up this component of our Dream 11 side.
NZ Vs IND Dream11 All-Rounders
With Ravindra Jadeja set to return to the Indian setup for this series, the all-rounder becomes a regulation selection for us. The New Zealand series last year played a defining role in the all-rounder’s rejuvenation and after leaving the hosts miffed with his wicket to wicket bowling in the T20 series, he makes for sublime choice.
From New Zealand meanwhile we had two viable options with Jimmy Neesham and Mitchell Santner both being more than worthy picks. While Neesham has scored 166 runs against India along with snaring 8 wickets, we have decided to go in with Mitchell Santner with his left hand brand of spin seeing him having taken up 10 wickets in matches against India.
NZ Vs IND Dream11 Bowling Order
Jasprit Bumrah was quick to remind everyone why he’s held in such high esteem. His three wickets in the culminating T20 against the Black Caps cut short their run chase with his man of the match spell ensuring India were able to canter their way to a comfortable win.
Mohammed Shami, someone who has an impressive 20 wickets against New Zealand in a mere 9 ties also lured us with him becoming the second pick from the side. Legspinner Kuldeep Yadav will be missing out despite the spinner having snared 9 wickets in 5 ties against New Zealand.
Elsewhere, from New Zealand, Ish Sodhi becomes our final selection for the day after his rotations on the ball and trajectory massively perturbed the Indians in the bygone T20 series.
Captain And Vice-Captain
Kohli captains our side while KL Rahul is the vice-captain.
